Recently, our most successful product has been our precast column for deep-pit hog confinements. These have been found to be much more efficient than cast-in-place columns, as well as being stronger and more stable. They feature a broad reinforced integral base, which requires no fastening to the confinement floor. Precast columns eliminate forming, bracing, aligning, leveling, and pumping.

Concrete beams are placed on top of columns to support the slats in deep-pit confinements. Platte Valley Precast offers a multiple lengths and sizes of beams.
